These Terms govern your use of CutFarmer ("the app"), a macOS desktop application that turns long-form video into short vertical clips and, when you connect your own accounts, publishes those clips to platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
CutFarmer imports video you supply, detects segments, reframes them to a vertical aspect ratio, adds captions, and renders short clips. All of this happens locally on your computer. Separately, and only at your instruction, it can upload a rendered clip to a platform account you have connected.
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to hold an account on any platform you connect. If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
You keep all rights to the video you process and the clips you produce. We claim no ownership or licence over them.
You are solely responsible for having the rights to any source material you edit or publish. This includes footage, music, and any third-party content inside your source video. Do not use CutFarmer to re-publish material you do not have permission to use.
When you connect a platform account, you authorise CutFarmer to act on that account strictly within the permissions you granted:
You can revoke access at any time in the platform's own app-permissions settings; this takes effect immediately and disables the app's access.
Publishing through CutFarmer does not exempt you from the destination platform's rules. You remain bound by, and responsible for complying with, their terms and community guidelines — including TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If a platform removes your content, limits your account, or terminates it, that is a matter between you and that platform.
You agree not to use CutFarmer to:
CutFarmer runs on your hardware. We do not host your content, and we cannot retrieve, restore, or delete anything on your machine for you. Keeping backups of your source video and output is your responsibility.
The app may change, and features that depend on a third-party API may stop working if that API changes or access is withdrawn. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
CutFarmer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular clip will publish successfully.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or account standing, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for it or fifty US dollars (US$50).
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand arising out of the content you publish through the app or your breach of these Terms or of a platform's rules.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it and revoking any connected accounts. We may terminate or suspend access to app features if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 5, 6, and 9 through 13 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
We may update these Terms; the effective date at the top of this page will change and the current version always lives at this URL. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
